Classic New York cheesecake with a rich, creamy filling and a buttery graham cracker crust.

- Crust: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Filling: 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed.
- Blend in sour cream and flour until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven and cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
- For a flavored cheesecake, add citrus zest or melted chocolate to the filling.
- Serve with fresh berries or a fruit compote for garnish.
- Use a water bath to prevent cracks during baking.
