Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, melted butter, and powdered sugar.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and baking powder.
  6. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust.
  7. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and cutting into squares.
