- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cream. Cook until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in the cheddar and Gruyère cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the lobster meat, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.

- For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the cheese sauce.
- You can substitute lobster with crab or shrimp if desired.
