Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, then stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat pasta and shrimp in the sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes.
