Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  8. Dab butter on top.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
  10. Garnish with green onions before serving.

  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving for better texture.
  • You can add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
