Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  4. Pour half of the sautéed onion and garlic over the potatoes.
  5. Add half of the cream and half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion, garlic, cream, and cheese.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
