- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Pour half of the sautéed onion and garlic over the potatoes.
- Add half of the cream and half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion, garlic, cream, and cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Use a mix of cheeses for added flavor.
