A simple and tasty deer jerky recipe.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds of deer meat, sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Slice the deer meat into thin strips.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar.
- Add the meat to the marinade and mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat dehydrator or oven to 160°F (70°C).
- Remove meat from marinade and pat dry.
- Place meat strips on dehydrator trays or baking sheets.
- Dry for 6-8 hours in dehydrator or 4-6 hours in oven until jerky is dry and flexible.
- Let cool and store in an airtight container.

- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Ensure meat is cut uniformly for even drying.
- Store jerky in a cool, dry place.
