Derby Pie is a chocolate and nut dessert traditionally served during the Kentucky Derby.

- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a bowl, mix sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Stir in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until set.
- Cool before serving.
