- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix blackberries and 1/2 cup sugar.
- In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter to the flour mixture. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Spoon blackberries over the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Use frozen blackberries if fresh ones are unavailable.
