This easy hamburger potato casserole combines ground beef, potatoes, and cheese for a simple and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  5. Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread half the beef mixture over the potatoes.
  7. Pour half the soup mixture over the beef.
  8. Sprinkle with half the cheese.
  9. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  10. Cover and bake for 1 hour. Remove cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
