A simple and delicious homemade lasagna recipe that anyone can make.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 4 noodles over the sauce.
  6. Add half of the ricotta mixture and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella.
  8. Top with remaining noodles, sauce, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  11. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a meat version, add cooked ground beef or sausage between layers.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
  • This lasagna can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
