- 1 can (14.75 oz) of salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, mustard, lemon juice, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for about 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your choice of sauce or garnish.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh salmon if preferred.
- Add herbs such as dill or parsley for extra flavor.
- These patties can be baked at 375°F for 15-20 minutes for a healthier option.
