Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 tablespoon

- Rosemary – 2 teaspoons, dried
- Carrots – 4, chopped
- Onions – 2, quartered
- Celery – 2 stalks, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Rub the mixture under the skin of the turkey.
- Place carrots, onions, and celery in the roasting pan.
- Place the turkey on top of the vegetables.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Brine the turkey overnight for extra flavor.
- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Save the drippings for gravy.
