Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add the melted butter and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Combine the ground hazelnuts, flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
