Ingredients

  • 1 kg of pork belly
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 pack of sticky rice
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 1 cup of grated coconut
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate pork belly in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and pepper for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a pot, combine marinated pork and water. Simmer until tender.
  3. Add sugar and cook until caramelized.
  4. Prepare sticky rice by washing and soaking it for 30 minutes.
  5. Combine sticky rice with coconut milk and salt. Cook until rice is tender.
  6. Serve pork with sticky rice and sprinkle with grated coconut.
