Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup calamansi juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the turkey in soy sauce, calamansi juice, brown sugar, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper for at least 4 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
  4. Roast the turkey for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting occasionally.
  5. While the turkey cooks, rinse the rice under cold water.
  6. In a pot, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil and then simmer until the rice is cooked.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  8. Serve the turkey with rice and enjoy.
