Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder – 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder – 1 tablespoon
- Thyme – 2 teaspoons
- Rosemary – 2 teaspoons
- Stuffing – 1 box (12 oz)
- Vegetable broth – 2 cups
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can (14 oz)
- Green beans – 1 pound
- Mashed potatoes – 4 cups
- Gravy – 2 cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing it under cold water.
- Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub butter all over the turkey and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Bake the turkey for about 3 hours, removing the foil for the last hour to brown the skin.
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare mashed potatoes and gravy according to package instructions.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Check the turkey’s internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches or soups.
