Instructions

- Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in chocolate chips, vanilla, and nuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then turn off the oven.
- Leave the cookies in the oven for at least 2 hours or overnight.
