Description

A refreshing homemade mint ice cream that captures the essence of fresh mint leaves.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add fresh mint leaves and remove from heat. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove mint leaves.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  6. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. If using, add crushed chocolate chips in the last few minutes of churning.
  8. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
