Description
A refreshing homemade mint ice cream that captures the essence of fresh mint leaves.
Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add fresh mint leaves and remove from heat. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove mint leaves.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- If using, add crushed chocolate chips in the last few minutes of churning.
- Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh mint for the best flavor.
- Adjust the sugar according to your taste.
- Make sure the mixture is well chilled before churning.
