- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter and stir until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add chopped pecans and shredded coconut to the mixture.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

- Ensure the crust is well-pressed for a sturdy base.
- Allow bars to cool completely for easier cutting.
