Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; stir until combined.
  6. Spread the batter into a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before cutting into bars.
