Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together.
- Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Roll the dough into balls and coat in powdered sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For extra spice, add more ginger or cinnamon.
