- 1 cup cornmeal

- 1 cup buttermilk
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Fry the catfish in hot oil until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
