- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 head of butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onion, sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and ginger; cook for 2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in a lettuce leaf.
- Garnish with green onions and cilantro.
- Serve immediately.
