Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the beans overnight.
  2. Drain the beans and place them in the crockpot.
  3. Add the diced ham, onion, carrots, and celery.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth.
  5. Add garlic powder, black pepper, bay leaf, and salt.
  6. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  8. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
