Healthy air fryer chickpea patties are a nutritious and flavorful option for a satisfying meal or snack.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and egg to the chickpeas.
- Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into patties.
- Brush each patty lightly with olive oil.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your preference.
- Serve with a yogurt sauce or on a bun.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
