Healthy air fryer chickpea patties are a nutritious and flavorful option for a satisfying meal or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and egg to the chickpeas.
  4. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into patties.
  5. Brush each patty lightly with olive oil.
  6. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before serving.

  • Serve with a yogurt sauce or on a bun.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
