Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a large pot.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the flowers.
  5. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water, sugar, and lime juice to the pitcher.
  6. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  7. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  8. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
