Description
Delicious high hat chocolate cherry cream cupcakes topped with a rich chocolate ganache.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cherry filling
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in cherry filling and chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- Melt dark chocolate and heavy cream together to create ganache.
- Once cooled, dip each cupcake into the ganache and let excess drip off.
- Chill cupcakes until ganache is set.

- Use fresh cherries for a more vibrant flavor.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Allow cupcakes to come to room temperature before serving for best taste.
