A simple and delicious homemade banana pudding recipe.
Ingredients

- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box of vanilla wafers
- whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, flour, and salt.
- Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring, until thickened.
- In a bowl, beat egg yolks, then slowly add some of the hot mixture to temper the eggs.
- Return the egg mixture to the saucepan and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Layer pudding, banana slices, and vanilla wafers in a dish.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Top with whipped cream.
Notes
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
