A simple homemade dressing recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion, and sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the chicken broth over the mixture and stir until combined.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can use stale bread for better texture.
- Feel free to add nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor.
- This dressing can be prepared a day in advance.
