- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine blackberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice.
- Mix well and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
- Add milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
- Pour blackberry mixture into a baking dish.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the blackberries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Use frozen blackberries if fresh ones are not available.
