Ingredients

- 1 cup red lentils
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: spices of your choice
Instructions
- Rinse the red lentils under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the lentils and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until lentils are soft.
- Drain excess water and let lentils cool slightly.
- Transfer lentils to a blender. Add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
- Spread the lentil mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a spatula to create an even layer.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool. Break into chips.

- Experiment with different spices like paprika or cumin for varied flavors.
- For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the lentil mixture.
- Store chips in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
