Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (28 ounces each) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
- This sauce can be frozen for later use.
