- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a pan, add onion and celery, and sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- You can add cooked sausage for extra flavor.
- Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
