Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice and lentils until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, heat ghee and add cumin seeds.
  3. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
  5. Add mixed vegetables, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add lentils and rice to the pot. Pour in 4 cups of water.
  7. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until rice and lentils are cooked.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
