Description
Tender pulled pork cooked in an instant pot, served on soft buns.
Ingredients

- 3 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Season the pork with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Turn the instant pot to sauté mode and brown the pork on all sides.
- Add sliced onion and minced garlic, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and barbecue sauce.
- Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
- Allow natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
- Shred the pork using two forks.
- Serve on hamburger buns with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure pork is cooked to at least 190°F for easy shredding.
- Let the pork rest for a few minutes before shredding.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
