Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup jerk seasoning
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Rinse and pat dry the turkey.
  3. In a bowl, mix jerk seasoning, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lime juice, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
  6. Roast the turkey for 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • For best flavor, marinate the turkey overnight.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
