  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
  8. Spread butter on the dough, sprinkle with sugar, and roll it up tightly.
  9. Cut the roll into equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  10. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to make the icing.
  13. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
