Ingredients

  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 cups of vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon of dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add celery and onion; sauté until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, and spices.
  5. Pour broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
  7. Transfer stuffing to a greased baking dish.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Stuffing can be prepared a day in advance.
