Make ahead stuffing for Thanksgiving
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 2 cups of vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon of dried sage
- 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion; sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, and spices.
- Pour broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer stuffing to a greased baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Stuffing can be prepared a day in advance.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
