Description

A selection of make-ahead sides for Thanksgiving dinner.


Ingredients

  • Green Beans – 1 pound
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Butter – 1/2 cup
  • Olive Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Cranberries – 1 cup
  • Brown Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Sweet Potatoes – 2 pounds
  • Marshmallows – 1 cup
  • Stuffing Mix – 1 box
  • Vegetable Broth – 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim green beans.
  2. Chop garlic and sauté in butter and olive oil.
  3. Add green beans and cook until tender.
  4. Mix cranberries and brown sugar in a bowl.
  5. Peel and cube sweet potatoes, boil until soft.
  6. Top sweet potatoes with marshmallows and bake until golden.
  7. Prepare stuffing mix as per package instructions using vegetable broth.
  8. Combine all sides in serving dishes and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • Prepare sides a day in advance for convenience.
  • Reheat in the oven before serving.
