Description
A selection of make-ahead sides for Thanksgiving dinner.
Ingredients
- Green Beans – 1 pound
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Butter – 1/2 cup
- Olive Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Cranberries – 1 cup
- Brown Sugar – 1/4 cup
- Sweet Potatoes – 2 pounds
- Marshmallows – 1 cup
- Stuffing Mix – 1 box
- Vegetable Broth – 2 cups
Instructions
- Wash and trim green beans.
- Chop garlic and sauté in butter and olive oil.
- Add green beans and cook until tender.
- Mix cranberries and brown sugar in a bowl.
- Peel and cube sweet potatoes, boil until soft.
- Top sweet potatoes with marshmallows and bake until golden.
- Prepare stuffing mix as per package instructions using vegetable broth.
- Combine all sides in serving dishes and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Prepare sides a day in advance for convenience.
- Reheat in the oven before serving.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
