Description

Traditional Malaysian cookies made for Chinese New Year celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 150g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g ground nuts
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and ground nuts.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  7. Form small balls and place on a baking tray.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  9. Let cool before serving.
