Traditional Malaysian cookies made for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingredients

- 250g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 100g butter
- 2 eggs
- 50g ground nuts
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and ground nuts.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Form small balls and place on a baking tray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made a week in advance.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
