Description
Mince pies are traditional holiday pastries filled with a mixture of dried fruits and spices.
Ingredients

- 1 package of shortcrust pastry
- 400g mincemeat
- 1 egg, beaten (for glazing)
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Roll out the pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut out circles for the base and stars for the top.
- Place the base circles in a muffin tin.
- Fill each base with mincemeat.
- Top with star-shaped pastry.
- Brush with beaten egg mixed with milk.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use store-bought mincemeat for convenience.
- Dust with icing sugar before serving.
