Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Fold the corners of the pastry squares to the center and pinch to seal.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
