Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 34 tbsp cold water
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  2. Gradually add cold water and mix until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. In a pan, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef, cumin, paprika, and black pepper. Cook until beef is browned.
  5. Stir in olives and remove from heat. Let cool.
  6. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  7. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  8. Fold and seal edges tightly. Brush with egg wash.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
