A traditional bread recipe for New Year celebrations.
Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add olive oil and salt to the mixture.
- Gradually add flour and knead until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store bread in an airtight container.
- Great for toasting.
- Can add seeds or herbs for extra flavor.
