Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • Food coloring (black and orange)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  6. Divide the batter into two bowls. Color one with black and the other with orange.
  7. Pour both batters into a greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let cool before decorating.
