Delicious overnight cinnamon buns that are soft and gooey.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk, heated
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
  7. Spread melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on the dough.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and cut into pieces.
  9. Place pieces in a greased baking dish.
  10. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  11. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add nuts.
  • Adjust sugar according to taste.
