- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir to combine. Ensure the bread is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, uncover and bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden and set.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Feel free to add fruits or nuts for extra flavor.
