- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups carrots, chopped
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing giblets and patting it dry.
- Rub olive oil, salt, and pepper over the turkey.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with chopped vegetables and herbs.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
