Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into a round cake pan.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the butter.
  4. Arrange pecans on top of the brown sugar.
  5. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  7. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  8. Pour the batter over the pecans in the pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
